Quality Curriculum

Quality Curriculum

Our quality curriculum is a comprehensive educational service aimed at developing tailored and high-standard learning materials to meet diverse instructional needs. Our expertise ensures that each curriculum is designed to enhance understanding, foster creativity, and drive academic success for learners of all ages and disciplines.

No Worry Atmosphere

No Worry Atmosphere

"No Worry Atmosphere" provides a stress-free and relaxing environment tailored to enhance your comfort and peace of mind. Our services are dedicated to ensuring an effortless and positive experience for your child, helping them focus on what truly matters. No political views, religious views, or personal opinions-but instead science will be taught with state standards in mind. Our main focus will be on science basics, hands-on activities for engagement, and providing study skills along the way.

Family Oriented

Family Oriented

Our classes have families in mind from the beginning to the end. Our classes provide the ease of self paced learning for families that travel or have busy schedules. Students can log into Google Classroom to work independently or the parent can use the material to teach from. Gamified assessments will be provided over each unit using a program called Wayground. Students will be given a code to log into the program to take assessments. Students are welcome to retake assessments as many times as needed, to help with confidence over the material. Grades will be provided immediately for students to record at home. Along the way our classes will encourage students to use an interactive notebook to take notes, draw science sketches, add provided worksheets, and complete assignments. Students will be encouraged to use their spiral resource on assessments. Families will be provided a template to record the assessments grades Wayground will provide. After the course is over we will provide a certificate of completion. Families can use the grades from Wayground or grade according to your homeschool program plan. We are here to provide quality curriculum, and show that science can be a fun learning experience.

Hands-On Labs

Hands-On Labs

Each month will include 4-5 hands-on activities for the student to complete. Our goal is to encourage students to explore the outdoors to observe nature as they create nature journals, and create a nature collection. Most of our labs will include items that can commonly be found in nature or in the home. A supply list will be provided for all classes upon registration.

Tutoring

Tutoring

One-on-one Zoom and Google Meet tutoring will be provided, if needed with a certified science teacher. Registered families will be provided a tutoring link to purchase tutoring sessions at a rate of $45/per hourly session. These sessions can be used to help with assignments, project review, live assessment practice, and overall general support in science.

Our program was perfectly curated by a certified science teacher. Our program is to be used as a resource. This homeschool resource allows parents the freedom to choose what they want their child to learn. Parents can teach from the provided curriculum or allow the student to work independently. We do not "require" assignments to be completed, but instead we leave that to the parent to pick and choose what units should be completed. Instead we provide quality curriculum for the family to use by providing:
-a weekly assignment for each day of the week
-group Zoom or self paced video lesson
-quality teacher tested worksheets in pdf format, with keys
-gamified assessments with immediate grading
At this time, we are not accredited. We decided not to pursue accreditation, due to the restrictions it would place on our families. However, the curriculum provided still covers the necessary topics meeting state and Next Generation Science Stanards.  Accreditation is not required for homeschool courses.
The monthly fee for our program is $30/month for self paced curriculum and $60/month for hybrid group Zoom instruction classes.

We do not require a contract, parents are responsible for monthly payments to continue their child's access to Google Classroom. Your family can discontinue services at anytime.

Payments are due by the 25th of the month to guarantee enrollment for the following month in Google Classroom.

The school year runs from September 8-April 30. Our program is an 8 month program.

Our live hybrid classes have the following live classes each month:
September-4 classes
October -4 classes
November-3 classes

We offer K/1st grade, 2nd/3rd, 4th/5th, and middle school science curriculum.
We have worked hard to provide a variety of lessons/activities/labs to meet state standards and encourage engagement. We have live lessons once a week for each class  (45-60 min Zooms), printed worksheets, engaging Youtube videos, research projects, presentations, activities, hands-on projects, and more!
Each unit will include will include an assessment code to access the teacher created assessment on Wayground. Some live assessments will take place in our group Zoom classes. Students will have the opportunity to retake assessments as many times as needed to improve their score to help with confidence and comprehension. Wayground provided immediate scoring, that famiies will need to record in the student spiral notebook template. At the end of the year families are encouraged to add up the scores for the overall average.

Some parents prefer to use the Wayground scores and at home science assignment grades too. Parents are ultimately in control of the homeschool class so we are happy with work with you on your homeschool needs and support your grading preferences.
Our live group classes meet via Zoom once a week on Mondays.

9:15 am EST K/1st Grade
10:15am EST 2nd/3rd Grade
11:15am EST 4th/5th Grade
Lunch
1:15am EST 6/7/8th Grade

The group will meet together for a weekly general lesson over the week's topic. Many times we will complete a lab together during this set time, and end the class with a Wayground fun practice assessment over the material. The rest of the week's assignments will be housed in Google Classroom for students to log into when convenient. It is recommended that the weekly lessons are completed before the next live class, but that is not a requirement.
Our program follows state and Next Generation Science standards

Project Information:
All students K-8 work on creating a science collection, nature journal, and capstone end of the year project. For the science collection, students can create a collection by interest. Examples: rock collection, mineral collection, acorn collection, etc. During the year several teacher created modules will be shared to provide students examples and provide guidance. Students will also be encouraged to create a nature journal, and spend time each month outside drawing what they have seen or adding fun notes. A location for students to upload images will be provided for students who want to share their creative side. The end of the year capstone project is a favorite for all students. For this project students will pick a topic they have learned about during the year and dive deeper into the topic to create a video summary, voice recording, artwork, 3D model, digital slideshow, or poster on the topic chosen. These assignments give students a chance to research, be creative, and explore-all key themes for science comprehension skills.
Homeschool Academy is a conglomerate, that works to secure certified teachers with over 15 years experience teaching online. This website shows our specific science programs for K-8th grade. But yes, we do offer other programs like Homeschool History Academy, Homeschool Math Academy, Homeschool Music Academy, and Homeschool Creative Writing Academy. If you are interested in other programs,  please use the contact us form to let us know what other subjects you need.
Our  program was created by a team of moms and teachers. We have used our discussions as a team to create a program that families will be happy signing their children up for.
First, our program is very affordable so the financial stress is removed.
Second, our program is 100% self paced. Self paced programs allow families to work together to decide when the child will work on the class. We have removed the stress of deadlines, allowing students to devote quality time to their education.
Third, we provide quality curriculum created by certified experience teachers. As a parent you can pick and choose what you would like your child to work on but the material provided will be there for the student to work independently or for the parent to use to teach from at home.

No, families can cancel at anytime. Our program uses Google Classroom to house the curriculum and video lessons. Each student will join with a Gmail address. Payments must be received by the 25th of the month to continue services for the next month. Feel free to leave at anytime, and return at anytime. Our program runs from September to May.
All of our classes are housed in Google Classroom, so students can work at their own pace on assignments.

-Each week has 5 assignments.
-Each week has a video lesson.
-Each week has vocabulary words.
-Each week has a short graded assessment.

Here is an example of one of our classes.

Our family RVs all over the US, this program was perfect for us. It allowed us to login when convenient and encouraged us to learn about science as a family while traveling.

As a SAHM I was exhausted trying to think of science experiments and projects. This program saved me so much time. I use it to teach from home. The program gave me back the time I needed instead of searching online and trying to be creative in a subject I had no experience in. Thank you soooo much.
